Travel tips for the Exuma archipelago in the Bahamas: our tropical adventure with kids.
In the fall of 2023, we finally decided to make that dream come true: a trip to the Bahamas. During a previous flight to Cuba, we already spotted the islands through the airplane window, white sandy beaches surrounded by clear turquoise water. We thought to ourselves: we have to go there one day. After our road trip through Florida, we knew for sure. This was the moment.
We chose Exuma. Not busy Nassau or touristy Grand Bahama, but a tranquil archipelago with deserted beaches, crystal clear waters and that laid-back island vibe you immediately get into. Swimming with pigs, snorkeling among tropical fish and just feeling like you have the beach to yourself, Exuma did not disappoint on any level.
