Welcome to the travel blog of Wandering Dutchies! We’re Guus, Marissa, Nina (5) and Puck (2), a Dutch family with a serious case of wanderlust. It all started with an Instagram account, where we shared beautiful travel photos and useful tips. Now, Wandering Dutchies has grown into a full platform filled with inspiration and practical advice to help make your next trip easier and more fun. Whether you travel with kids or without, we’re here to show you that traveling can be truly amazing. And honestly? It’s often easier than you’d think.

Who are the Wandering Dutchies?
Guus is the creative mind and “PAPArazzi” behind Wandering Dutchies and our travel blog.
As a digital designer and videographer, he’s the one capturing all the beautiful photos and videos of our trips. He’s also responsible for the visual vibe of our adventures and spends a lot of time mapping out the best routes – which often leads us to some pretty unique places. Whether we’re in the US, Italy or Vietnam, Guus has a knack for capturing every moment just right. His ultimate travel dream? A journey to Tibet and the Himalayas.

Marissa is the planner of the family, making sure everything runs smoothly during our travels.
She loves preparing our adventures and always ensures everyone looks good in the photos. On top of her passion for planning and organizing, she writes most of the blog posts you’ll find here. With a background in childcare, she knows exactly how to make our trips as kid-friendly as possible – which makes traveling as a family just a little easier. Her dream destinations? A road trip through Australia and a visit to Hawaii. .

Nina, our oldest daughter, is already a true little traveler at just 5 years old.
She’s visited no less than 20 countries and is always excited for the next adventure. Swimming, skiing, eating pizza and building sandcastles are her absolute favorites. Mexico and the United States have made the biggest impression on her so far, but her list keeps growing. Her biggest dream? Traveling through South Africa one day.

Puck is our youngest little explorer. With her curious nature and cheeky smile, she happily tags along on all our adventures, ever since her very first flight at just two months old! By now, she’s already set foot on three continents and makes every trip even more special for us as a family.
